Technical Design and Project Management

Avon Group offers an in house tool making operation using our range of CNC Machining Centres, CNC EDM and CNC Wire Die Sinking Machines.­ The tool making operation ensures that the seamless link between design and production is focused on precision and quality, this is key to the final production of high quality low cost mouldings.

From a 2D or 3D file we can design the tooling in house so that you can be sure that it is fit for volume production. Our experienced tool designers look at every aspect of the design. This includes tool material selection to suit the material of the product and it’s anticipated volumes, gating methods, and ejector positions.

  • Our experienced designers can guide you through the development of your component. They can foresee any potential production problems with the design
  • Our advice can eliminate these problems and offer an alternative which may result in shorter lead times, avoid retooling and will keep costs to a minimum
  • Production of 3D solid models of the mould tool assembly and/or the associated 2D drawings
  • We are able to utilise data from most CAD systems
  • Alternatively, we can design models to your specific requirements
